Marines Honored in New Commemorative Stamp
On 10 November 2005, the 230th celebration of Marine Corps Birthday, then Commandant General Mike Hagee welcomes Post Master General John Potter in celebrating the unveiling of the United States Post Ofice's Marine Corps Commemorative Stamps. Four Marines were honored on the stamps; Lt. General John A Lejeune, Lt. General Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, Sgt. Major Dan Daly and GySgt. John Basilone. The ceremony took place at "8th and I" in Washington, D.C..

Art Karin, Chairman of the GySgt John Basilone Stamp Campaign, crosses the finish line at the 28th Annual Marine Corps Marathon. Art is a legally blind seinor who finished the marathon in 7 hours and 31 minutes. This is his first marathon. Picture 1 - 2 - 3
